Do What You Love and Die Trying is a short, illustrated zine that offers hope, motivation, and guidance for young adults who are skeptical of following the conventional path. It’s what I wish someone handed me between age 18-25, when I craved vulnerable stories and strong opinions from adults living beyond the mainstream.
Combining real-life stories, poetic advice, and original illustrations, DWYL&DT encourages young people to:
- live for today without forgetting that tomorrow exists
- get outside and move your body frequently
- prioritize time wealth over financial wealth
- make friends everywhere and avoid possessive relationships
- beware fundamentalism in all its forms
- earn good money without compromising values
- appreciate your fortune while also helping others
DWYL&DT was brought to life through a Kickstarter in 2023. No more physical copies are available, but due to popular demand, I’ve made the PDF available for free.
If you enjoy it, please tip me a coffee to support my writing habit.
(For reference, the PDF cost $10 through Kickstarter.)
(There’s also a different, shorter, and less-polished 2021 edition that you’re welcome to explore.)
