a powerful 2-person game in which you ask a series of questions that interest both you and your partner, reflecting on the nature of curiosity itself
(one of the many connection games I’ve accumulated)
Flow:
- A asks B any questions. B can pass. A can say “thank you” to end B’s response. (2.5 min)
- A asks B questions and B rates interest in the questions silently from 1-5, not answering them. (1.5 minutes)
- A continues asking questions and B answers, as before. A asks what is alive for A, while being influenced by what is alive for B. (2.5 minutes)
- A answers: “The moment I felt you most was…” (1 min)
- A answers: “What I really get about you is…” (1.5 min)=
- Switch roles and repeat
Facilitator tips:
- encourage players to use the “thank you” tool
- notice what you do in the third round: ask more questions interesting to your partner? keep asking whatever questions you want? a balance? noticing + boundary-setting exercise.
Thanks to Authentic Relating for introducing me to this game!
