I’m Closing (or Selling) Unschool Adventures in 2028

2028 marks 20 years of Unschool Adventures—and I’m ready to move on.

My default plan is to close the business. Easy, peasy, 🍋 squeezy.

I’m also open to selling UA to someone who would continue offering similar trips. In this case, I’d closely collaborate with the new owner: walking them through my processes, co-leading a trip in 2027, and otherwise providing a “warm hand-off.”

This means I’ll become available for new projects & collaborations, like…

  • starting or joining an alternative school or summer camp
  • developing a new kind of exchange, study abroad, or gap year program
  • doing more public speaking or group facilitation
  • something else in the education or training space

If you’re interested in taking over UA, working together, or something else—you know where to find me.

“One must take care not to be victimized by one’s penchant for self-discipline and hard work. One’s lesser talents may lead to success in craft or business, but then one might never find out what one’s more playful capacities might have been.”
